According the new government rules in U.S, the iPhone jailbreaking and unlocking, rooting of android phones, DVD ripping for educational purposes is legal now. The new rules allows iPhone owners to hack iPhone’s OS (referred to as jailbreaking) which in turn allows them to run any application of their choice, even the apps that are not approved by Apple.

One thing that might be a factor to worry for iPhone owners is that the new government rules won’t stop Apple from disabling jailbroken phones with software upgrades. In simple terms owners of jailbroken, unlocked phones might not be able to get the benefits of software upgrades, and they still run the risk of voiding their warranty.

In addition to jailbreaking, other exemptions announced Monday would allow:
1] Owners of used cell phones to break access controls on their phones in order to switch wireless carriers.
2] People to break technical protections on video games to investigate or correct security flaws.
3] College professors, film students and documentary filmmakers to break copy-protection measures on DVDs so they can embed clips for educational purposes, criticism, commentary and noncommercial videos.
4] Computer owners to bypass the need for external security devices called dongles if the dongle no longer works and cannot be replaced.
5] Blind people to break locks on electronic books so that they can use them with read-aloud software and similar aides.

4: Unified Inbox and Threaded Email: This feature will come in handy to you if have more than one email accounts setup on your iPhone.

Unified inbox will contain all your incoming mails, which are associated with your different email accounts, arranged in a chronological order at one place. Also you can organize messages by threads and open attachments in third-party apps.

5: Wireless Keyboard Support: Conventional keyboards are always great to type on. This wireless keyboard support feature allows your iPhone to be paired with a keyboard with the help of Bluetooth wireless technology.

6: Better Spell Check: iPhone has got a small touchscreen keyboard so pelling mistakes occur quite often. To account for them iOS 4 has got a system wide built-in dictionary that automatically suggests words and corrects spelling. It works in Mail, Notes, and other apps.

7: Tap to Focus Video: While shooting video, tap the display to choose where to focus.

8: 5x Digital Zoom: Now you can get more closer to your subjects with 5x Digital Zoom.

Many users eagerly waited for the Multi-touch support on their Nexus One phones and now the good news is that Google is sending out the OTA updates that will include some great new features, fixes for some problems (Nexus One 3G issue fix)that some users might have experienced, and most importantly it includes the much awaited Multi-touch support.

3G connectivity: we will provide a general fix to help improve 3G connectivity on some Nexus One phones
