Airtel, an Indian mobile service provider, has got some great news for its subscribers throughout the country. Airtel subscribers can now get the access to Facebook mobile site for free through their Airtel Mobile phone. To access the facebook mobile site free of cost go to m.facebook.com through your Airtel mobile. This offer is valid till 31 August only for both Prepaid and Postpaid customers.
Initially the Facebook mobile site will be available in English and Hindi only, but by July 15 it will be accessible in five more languages, namely Punjabi, Bengali, Telugu, Tamil, and Malayalam. Airtel Customers accessing the mobile internet for the first time need to simply SMS ‘FACEBOOK’ to 54321 to avail this special offer lasting till 31st August.
“Our mobile customers will also be the first in the world to enjoy Facebook on their Airtel mobile in five vernacular languages. All these reiterate our commitment to customers to offer the best value-for-money services that enable their lifestyles,” said Bharti Airtel CMO (Mobile Services) Shireesh Joshi.
According to Henri Moissinac, the Facebook Head of Mobile Business, more than 10 crore Facebook users around the world access the site through their mobile devices. Also Airtel has got a strong customer base of 13 crore people throughout India. Keeping these things in mind Airtel and Facebook has launched this scheme which will definitely benefit both the sides.
