We have already covered a lot about Google Wave like What is Google wave & how to get started with Google wave?, how to create a wave?, how to create a public wave? etc. and the list is a bit long actually, so if you have missed something check it out here. For those of you who are still looking for an invite check out our wave invite giveaway.
Anyway if you have got your wave account then you might have noticed the latest follow & Unfollow feature in it. Actually Google wave has just inroduced this feature, and it is basically for public waves, a wave which anyone can see and whose content can be accessed by anyone.
Google explained the working of this feature by saying: “When you see a public wave that you would like to get updates on, you can chose to follow it by hitting the follow button in the wave panel toolbar. You can remove these waves from your inbox by hitting the “archive” button, but when there is an update they will pop back in. You can switch between following and unfollowing a wave as much and as often as you like”
In the screenshot below you can see this Follow feature in between Playback and Spam tab.
Keeping in mind the information overload problem in Google wave, I think this move by Google wave is quite a good one. Also this follow, unfollow feature will lead to better public waves management in the wave inbox.
Do let us know what’s your take on this latest Google wave feature?
