in Tools & Extras

We have already shared with you some great tips to increase laptop battery life. However if you’ve missed that then take a look at those efficient computing tips first here: 7 Simple tips to increase battery life

The above tips would make your laptop battery last longer but still there is a problem to address and that is with battery level notification. Every time you want to check the battery level you are required to stare at the system tray infact you have to hover the mouse over the battery icon too. So if you want a better battery monitoring system then you should give a try to a free tool called BatteryMonitoring.

This BatteryMonitoring tool alerts you whenever your laptop battery reaches either “low battery” or “critical battery” level. This tool will give you both visual and audio alert on these two battery levels thereby making battery monitoring very easy for you.

There are two audio files named “low” and “critical” (in .wav format) for audio alert. So if you don’t like the default audio alert of this tool just replace those audio files with another set of two audio files (.wav format) with same names.

Battery Monitoring

Download the battery monitoring tool here: BatteryMonitoring & follow two simple steps to activate it.

1: The downloaded file would be a zip file, so unzip it and double click on the the executable file named BatteryMonitoring. Now the battery monitoring for your laptop would be “ON”.

2: Now to automatically start this battery monitoring tool every time you turn ON your PC just copy the file named BatteryMonitoring and place it in the windows startup folder. Now whenever you will turn ON your PC you will find this tool functioning in your system tray.

Hope you will find this tool useful for you. Anyway do let us know if you’re using some other tool for monitoring your laptop battery.
