According to the Reuters reports, Nokia will release its first touchscreen phone code-named – “Tube”, on October 2 in London. Earlier this year Nokia announced that it would be launching it’s first touchscreen phone by the end of this year which would be quite cheap as compared to the other touchscreen phones launched by it’s rivals.
Nokia has already used touch screens in its Internet tablet product range, which are devices just like phone for Web surfing but they do not have a calling function.

According to a Gartner analyst in the article, world would be waiting for the next move from Nokia due to Nokia’s strong position in today’s mobile market. Also the world’s second largest monitor assembler, Taiwan’s Innolux, has confirmed previously that it is having touchscreen display orders from Nokia, with shipments expected to commence shortly. Innolux is an affiliate of Hon Hai, which is an outsourced handset manufacturer for Nokia.
