Microsoft has added some really great features in Internet Explorer 8 (IE8) which makes it much better than Internet explorer 7 i.e IE7. So have a look at top five features in Internet Explorer 8 with which you can really have great surfing experience.
Compatibility view: Microsoft has introduced a compatibility view option in IE8 for the websites which are not compatible with IE8. This feature allows you to view websites (which are not compatible with IE8) on a previous version of Internet Explorer i.e IE7. Compatibility view option is located next to the address bar just before stop button.
Web slices: Web slices keeps you updated with a particular section or part of a web page instead of complete website. When you are subscribed to a web slice (such as facebook status updates) you will be able to see the updated content as a link on favourites bar.

Accelerators: You can really make your browsing session a efficient one with this feature of IE8. With this feature you can perform some everyday browsing tasks like translating a word or a line, mapping an address etc. without opening a new window or any new tab. Just highlight a word or a line and you will see a accelerator icon, click on it and it will give you a list of options that you can perform for your selection.

Domain Highlight: Internet Explorer 8 highlights the domain name in URL entered in the address bar. It makes the domain name black and bold so that you can easily identify phishing and deceptive sites.
Caret Browsing: With Caret browsing you can use the navigation keys on the keyboard to select text and navigate around within a web page. For activating caret browsing press F7.
